hey i know male pattern baldness is hot and normal, but for someone who personally doesnt want to experience it, how would you suggest avoiding balding when going on T?
let me know if you find out. for real though, i’ve done a little research your best bet is probably either finasteride or minoxidil. finasteride is a DHT blocker, which basically means it blocks the thing that causes male pattern baldness, among other things. however those other things it blocks can include facial/body hair and bottom growth, and there’s a chance it’ll make your period come back. if you decide to try finasteride you might want to wait until you’ve gotten those changes from testosterone so that they aren’t potentially blocked from happening. for people with penises there’s also a low chance of permanent erectile tissue damage, and considering people with vulvas also have erectile tissue, i imagine there’s a risk there too. i will say i took finasteride for about a month before it started lowering my libido, which was a big dealbreaker, so i stopped. finasteride works really well for a lot of people though! if you take it and notice a side effect you don’t want (like menstruating) you can stop and the effects will reverse. you can ask your doctor about it.
i don’t know as much about minoxidil, but you can get topical minoxidil over the counter (as opposed to finasteride), and it also comes in a pill form (which i don’t know enough about, but might consider trying next). it’s not a DHT blocker like finasteride. also, if you look it up you might come across a study claiming that rosemary oil works better than topical minoxidil, but it’s a badly done shit study— rosemary oil is nice and massaging your head in general stimulates blood flow which is good for your hair, and a lot of people like rosemary oil, but it’s not actually proven to treat hair loss like minoxidil is. you could always try rosemary oil if you want though. the downsides of topical minoxidil are that it’s a routine you have to keep up consistently, and it could give you chemical burns. if all else fails i guess you could get a hair transplant although that is very expensive. i’m sure there are other treatments out there but a lot are definitely bullshit, so try them at your own risk. i’m not an expert or a medical professional though!

Androgenetic Alopecia and the 4 Best Foods that can Help Prevent Balding
Hair loss is a common concern affecting millions globally, with Androgenetic Alopecia being one of the primary culprits. Often hereditary, this condition results in the gradual thinning of hair and eventual balding. While various treatments exist, including medications and surgical procedures, incorporating certain foods into your diet can contribute to preventing balding and promoting healthier hair. Let's delve into the connection between Androgenetic Alopecia and the 4 Best Foods that can Help Prevent Balding.
Understanding Androgenetic Alopecia:
Androgenetic Alopecia, commonly known as male-pattern baldness or female-pattern baldness, is a genetic condition that leads to hair thinning and eventual hair loss. It is influenced by hormonal factors, specifically the interaction of androgens (male hormones) with hair follicles that are genetically predisposed to be sensitive to them. This sensitivity leads to a gradual miniaturization of hair follicles, resulting in finer and shorter hair until, eventually, hair growth ceases in certain areas.
The Role of Nutrition in Hair Health:
While genetic factors play a significant role in Androgenetic Alopecia, environmental and lifestyle factors, including nutrition, can impact the severity and progression of hair loss. Adequate intake of essential nutrients helps maintain the health of hair follicles, promotes hair growth, and minimizes hair shedding. Including specific foods in your diet that are rich in these nutrients can be a proactive approach to preventing balding.
The 4 Best Foods for Preventing Balding:
Salmon: Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for maintaining overall health, and they play a crucial role in hair health as well. Salmon is a fatty fish rich in omega-3s, which have anti-inflammatory properties and promote hair density. These fatty acids also support the health of the scalp, preventing dryness and flakiness.
Spinach: Iron and Vitamins
Iron deficiency is a common factor contributing to hair loss. Spinach, a leafy green vegetable, is a powerhouse of iron, along with vitamins A and C. Iron ensures proper oxygenation of the hair follicles, promoting hair growth, while vitamins A and C contribute to the production of sebum, the natural hair conditioner.
Eggs: Biotin and Protein
Biotin, a B-vitamin, is often associated with promoting hair growth and preventing hair loss. Eggs are an excellent source of biotin, along with being a rich protein source. Hair is primarily composed of protein, and ensuring an adequate protein intake is essential for maintaining hair strength and preventing breakage.
Nuts and Seeds: Zinc and Vitamin E
Nuts and seeds, such as almonds, walnuts, and sunflower seeds, offer a combination of zinc and vitamin E. Zinc plays a role in hair tissue growth and repair, while vitamin E acts as a potent antioxidant that helps protect hair follicles from oxidative stress.
Incorporating these Foods into Your Diet:
While these foods can contribute to preventing balding, it's important to embrace a balanced and varied diet for overall health. Consider incorporating the following dietary tips to maximize the benefits:
Diversify Your Plate: Include a variety of nutrient-dense foods in your meals to ensure a broad spectrum of essential vitamins and minerals.
Hydrate: Staying hydrated is crucial for overall health, including the health of your hair and scalp. Drink an adequate amount of water daily.
Limit Processed Foods: Minimize the consumption of processed foods and sugary snacks, as they may contribute to inflammation and negatively impact hair health.
Consult a Nutritionist: For personalized advice, consider consulting a nutritionist who can assess your specific nutritional needs and guide you on a diet that supports hair health.
Conclusion:
While Androgenetic Alopecia may have a strong genetic component, making proactive lifestyle choices, including a nutrient-rich diet, can play a role in preventing balding and maintaining healthy hair. The four foods mentioned – salmon, spinach, eggs, and nuts/seeds – can be valuable additions to your diet as you embark on the journey to promote optimal hair health. Remember, a holistic approach that combines nutrition, lifestyle, and, if necessary, medical interventions can contribute to a healthier and more vibrant head of hair.

Well, if you hate winter, you know how much of a pain it can be to constantly have to shovel your drive way. And if you don't get snow, you get seasons of heavy hurricanes and typhoons. Harsh weather conditions destroy homes, harm our communities, and take more money to repair damages than some people can afford. That's why you should help @ma7moudgaza2 and his family
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's their verification || Verification 2
Mahmoud and his brother, Muhammad, are campaigning to buy supplies to survive this winter season. Their current goal is to buy covers and blankets to keep themselves warm because Surviving genocide is just as important as escaping it. Their family consists of 20 people-- that's an entire classroom of people! The money will be used for the supplies mentioned previously along with food, wood for a chair, clothes, and a shader to prevent their tent from sinking. For more details about how the money will be spent, click here. These people are your neighbors, graphic designers, phone repairers, and some maybe could've been your friends. If your neighbor's work blew up, wouldn't you want to help?

Pictured: Muhammad's work before and after the war.
"...I lost all of my work, leveled it to the ground, and completely destroyed my dream. As this war continued for more than 10 months, what I had saved was not enough for me. From money to buy my basic life, I am now without money and without a source of income, which the occupation has completely destroyed." -Message from Muhammad, read more here

The family has been a recent victim of *fraud* and had their campaign money STOLEN! Every cent you can donate matters! If 2500 people who reblogged this donated 10 USD then they'd reach their goal! If tumblr can come together for a fake movie, we can come together for this! We got this!!! Donate to their campaign and Paypal!

Can I get a one punch man saitama genos and garou accidentally saving a female reader from a villains or monster attack and the reader becomes madly in love with them and like stars following them and clingy to their art etc
─Saitama, Genos & Garou x reader
─Summary: You think that the person who saved you needs all the love in the world even if it was an accident.
─Warnings: none
Tumblr media
─ In this world of heroes and villains you consider that you have a superpower, the superpower of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
─ Somehow you find yourself involved in battles that do not concern you, being just another civilian who is rescued, it has happened to you several times, but you usually go unnoticed and flee from danger before someone decides to use you as a hostage.
─ It didn't happen like that when Saitama saved you, although he didn't even see you, he destroyed that huge stone that was going to crush you when defeating a villain, your eyes could only look fascinated at the shine of his bald head and his bored expression.
─ You thanked him in different languages and he just gave you a thumbs up without knowing how to respond when he didn't even notice you in the first place.
─ He was certainly happy thinking that he had gotten a fan, but you went a little too far.
─ You went crazy looking for information about your now favorite hero and love, you sighed every time you saw him knock down enemies with a single blow.
─ Saitama met you more times a day than he did with Genos, and he lived with the cyborg.
─ You always tried to start a conversation with him, no matter how brief, you love the simple interaction.
─ Saitama will run away from you, seriously, he appreciates your letters and gifts but you are reaching an extreme, the man wants to lead a fairly peaceful life and you are a whirlwind of emotions.
Tumblr media
─ Genos got a taste of his own medicine when he prevented a pile of rubble from falling on you, he hadn't noticed that you were the only person there, he just diverted the pieces of building for a battle strategy.
─ You didn't need anything else, once he realized that there were civilians, he apologized and helped you get to the nearest hospital to check if you had any injuries.
─ You were creating imaginary scenarios with the cyborg throughout the medical checkup and immediately sought to have more interactions with him.
─ It's difficult for Genos to reject some of your offers once you manage to establish some kind of friendly relationship, although he feels that you are being a little suffocating with your affection.
─ Appreciate your enthusiasm and affection, but seriously, relax a little, his brain will short-circuit from the amount of love you show him.
─ This boy has zero experience in romantic relationships so he is a little lost when it comes to reciprocating at first.
─ You will take care of that as long as he ends up accepting you as a partner, since he is still confused by your sudden appearance in his life, especially when he has such clear life goals, he doesn't know if you could distract him from his occupations.
─ He doesn't want to make you feel bad so he won't ignore your signs of affection like Saitama, ironically he has more heart than his bald friend.
─ In general he is a good boy and he will accept your love bombing, but he also has clear goals for himself, and he lets you know if you really want to be part of his life.
Tumblr media
─ This idiot surely saw you and he was even the one who planned to use you as a hostage, but someone beat him to it and put a knife against your throat before he could do anything.
─ Fuck everything, the cheap villain was his priority now and he forgot about you, no one would take away a target even if it was a hostage, speaking of capricious boys…
─ Of course the whim of fighting your captor indirectly saved you, although he didn't look at you when you fell to the ground or help you after he broke the other guy's face, but your heart experienced an instant crush.
─ Garou had the feeling that someone was after him after that day, he thought that some rival was after him only to find... you with a love letter in your hands?
─ You looked at each other in an uncomfortable silence and he decided to leave without saying anything, but your spirits did not falter, you tried by all possible means to spend as much time as possible with him to establish a relationship.
─ The man simply got used to having you by his side, ranting about anything or receiving compliments for any little thing he did.
─ He was so embarrassed, not only because the sight of him as a villain would be destroyed, but because he was not used to receiving so much praise and affection.
─ You may have a rather negative reaction towards your love, he doesn't feel confident enough to start something and you also came out of nowhere, but now that he knows you a little more he won't kick you out of his life either, at least for now…
─ Don't expect any signs of affection from him, he's a tough guy and has to look tough.
─ He constantly reminds you that he's not a good person and what his goals are right now, but he gives up when he sees that the look in your eyes clouded by love, won't scare you away so easily, although he might like that.

All My Heart | Quinn Hughes
Tumblr media
Summary: Quinn has been off the ice for two weeks, and he isn't dealing with it well.
Pairings: Quinn Hughes x Fem!Reader
Warnings: Anxiety/panic (attack?), general questioning of existence. Feelings, Angst, the whole roster basically.
Notes: yall please be careful reading this one! I did not mean for it to go the way it did but here we are. Please please please keep the warnings in mind, and if ever you need to stop reading please do. Take care of yourselves first loves. More notes at the end!
Wc: 1.6 k
---
Quinn felt like he was going insane. He'd been off the ice for two weeks due to an upper body injury, and it felt as if the restlessness had buried itself beneath his bones. He currently lay in bed, staring at the ceiling with tired eyes and a mind that wouldn't relax.
His foot shook incessantly beneath the blanket as he tried to fall asleep, but the thoughts kept whirling. He had been having trouble sleeping since he'd been benched. The constant string of anxious thoughts preventing his mind from quieting down enough for him to slip into a blissful sleep.
"Quinn." You grumble, voice laced with sleepiness. His constant foot shaking had been pulling you in and out of sleep since the two of you had settled down for the night. But you had kept quiet in the hopes that he would be able to fall asleep eventually.
"I'm sorry," Quinn whispers sheepishly, his fingers start drawing soothing circles into your waist, from where his arm is wrapped around you. "I didn't mean to wake you," he murmers, pressing his lips against your hair in a gentle kiss.
"It's alright, love. But can you please please stop shaking your foot?" You mutter, still half asleep.
"Yeah, sorry baby," he murmers sheepishly. He stills his foot, and somehow, the thoughts become ten times more intense. He's going on a full week with a total of maybe four hours of sleep. It's fucking hell. He's been getting snappy during the day. Although you mostly leave it be, because he usually apologizes right after, and you know he doesn't mean when he says it, and it's just his anxiety about not being able to play.
Deciding that there is no use in trying to sleep, he waits until your breathing evens out into a quiet snore before untangling himself from you and slipping out of the bedroom quietly. Quinn finds himself in the kitchen, with no plan on what to do. It's nearly three in the morning.
He settles onto the floor in favour of stretching. Hoping that it will help calm him at least enough so that he's no longer obscenely jittery. Unfortunately, it does nothing useful for him. His next idea is to watch a movie. Maybe something stupid and mind-numbing will put him to sleep.
He makes himself a cup of chamomile tea and sinks into the couch, turning on the first Despicable Me movie. It's perfectly stupid enough to get him no longer thinking about hockey. Except, then there's a freeze-ray. And then Vector's in-house shark aquarium is reminding him of the Canucks.
He pauses the movie and puts down his empty mug on the coffee table with such a deep sigh. It feels as though his bones are rattling. He presses his palms to his eyes in desperation, wishing oh so terribly that he could be skating and playing hockey. He feels chained, having not been allowed on the ice for so long.
His second home, his freedom. Where it feels like he's flying. Where he feels invincible, like he can do anything. Quinn springs up from the couch, and he's pacing. He paces around the living room with such fervor that he might wear a hole into the floor.
He needs to get on the ice. Now. Or he's going to rip his hair out. And then, on top of being injured, he'll also be bald. Which would be the second worst thing to ever happen to him. The first being the fact that he hasn't been allowed on the ice for two full weeks.
With no coherent plan, he creeps around the apartment, throwing his skating equipment in a spare duffle bag. He's grabbing his car keys and slipping on his shoes when the bedroom door opens with a creek.
"Quinn?" Your voice is tired and confused. You're hugging your arms around your body to protect yourself from the chill of the apartment.
Quinn looks like a deer caught in headlights. His hair is sticking up in every which direction, his eyes are red from exhaustion, and his eyebags are so so dark. He's wearing two different shoes, and for fucks sake he's not even wearing a shirt.
You amble over to him cautiously, gently tugging the duffle bag from his hand. You can see the blades of his skates sticking out of the bag. "Baby, what are you doing?" Your eyes dart over to the time on the microwave. It's 3:47 am.
"Y/n" he breathes, it's desperate and pleading, and all you want to do is wrap him in your arms and take away all his pain and worries. "I need to go- I need to get out. I'm going insane." He whispers. There's a tremor in his hands as he runs them through his hair.
"Ok, my love, we're gonna go. Let's go put on some proper clothes first." You say lacing your fingers with his and tugging him towards the bedroom. He sighs, squeezing your hand tightly. Like he needs the physical reminder that you're with him. Otherwise, you'll disappear.
You successfully coax him into a hoodie and a touqe and pull a pair of sweatpants and one of Quinn's hoodies over your (his) t-shirt. Making sure Quinn is wearing the correct set of shoes, you grab the keys off the hook, sling his duffle bag over your shoulder, and grab his hand. As soon as your hands are linked again, his grip is tight. And you wouldn't have it any other way.
You throw his bag in the back seat and slide into the driver's side while Quinn slips into the passenger seat. As soon as he can, he grabs your hand again. You hold your intertwined hands tucked under your chin while you drive.
"Talk to me, Quinn," you murmur softly, stroking your thumb over the back of his knuckles.
Quinn sighs shakily. He wants to talk to you. He really does. But he's so used to burying everything down, to not be a burden. He's the oldest. He's supposed to be the leader, the strong one. He knows in his heart that if there's anyone he can talk to, it's you. You don't push. You know he'll talk when he's ready.
His leg is bouncing, and he's running his hand through his hair nervously as he formulates his thoughts into coherent sentences. "I feel like i'm going insane," he mutters. "i need - i need to get on the ice. It's my freedom. I feel chained to existence because I haven't been able to skate for so long."
Your heart breaks for him as you squeeze his hand, letting him know that you're listening.
"I'm sorry, that doesn't make any sense," he sighs.
"No baby, it does, I get what you're saying," you say softly.
"It's like, I'm being punished for something. Am I a bad person?" His voice is cracking, and if you thought it impossible for your heart to break further, you were just proven wrong.
"No, Quinn, you aren't a bad person. Injuries are inevitable. You didn't do anything to deserve this. I promise you, my love." You kiss the back of his hand, hoping that your lips can pour all your love and reassurance into him.
"Where are we going?" Quinn asks, squinting curiously at the rapidly passing treeline. You had exited onto the highway a little bit ago, with no plan or intention.
You shrug your shoulders, "No idea, I'm just driving."
Guilt washes over Quinn like a tidal wave. He tugs his hand from yours and covers his face, with embarrassment and exasperation at himself. He sighs into his hands, and all of a sudden, the emotions are too much again.
"Quinn?" You glance at him with concern. He's breathing deeply, trying to keep the anxiety from spiking again.
"I'm so sorry, I woke you up and dragged out at such an ungodly hour. And fuck- you have work in the morning. Baby, I'm sorry, I'm sorry -" he sounds like he's on the verge of hyperventilating.
"Quinn, baby, look at me." Your voice is so gentle as you wrap your hand around his wrist and tug it away from his face, "You are the most important thing to me. Forever and always, especially especially right now. Please, please, please, don't beat yourself up about it. I would drop everything for you in a heartbeat, my love."
His breathing is still shallow. You rest his hand on your chest and take deep, slow breaths. "Copy my breathing, Quinn."
It takes a minute for his breathing to match yours, "Good job Honey" you smile, keeping his hand pressed against your chest.
"Can we go home?" He whispers, intertwining his fingers with yours.
"Of course, baby, whatever you want." You take the next exit and head in the direction of your shared apartment. The drive is mostly silent, only the sounds of deep breathing and the occasional shuddering sigh fill the car.
As soon as you're back in the apartment, Quinn is pulling off his hoodie and toque, "I need you to lay on top of me," Quinn all but begs.
"Alright, lay down wherever you want." You say, stripping if your own hoodie and sweats. He lays on the floor. The bed is too soft. He can't handle the sinking feeling. You lay directly on top of him, and he let's out a relieved sigh, his arms tightening around your waist.
"Love you so much, Y/n," he murmers into your cheek.
"I love you too, Quinn, with all my heart," you say gently, stroking his hair soothingly. He falls asleep within half an hour, and you pass out right after him.
And when the two of you wake up, if you take him skating. Well, that's no one's business but your own.
---
I know I said I probably wasn't gonna post for like a week and a half cause of school, but the inspiration hit, and I wrote this in like... an hour. So if it's really bad, well...
And just cause I haven't said it before, everything I write is purely fictional! I don't know how the hughes act in real life! I am simply writing them as characters.
I might end up taking this one down, so...
Anyways. Please take care of yourselves, yall. Leave comments! And as always, Love Soph.

sorry if this has been asked before but i find your answers to asks abt medical transition really helpful- baldness runs heavily in my family and it is one of the only things left making me hesitant about testosterone. the problem for me is every hair loss prevention cream/medicine my doctor has suggested *also* prevents all the stuff i REALLY want from T (body hair, bottom growth, etc.)
are you aware of any alternatives that could have the effects be more localized to the top of the head? neither me or my doctor seem to be very knowledgable about this sort of thing unfortunately...
i usually hear finasteride or minoxidil recommended, i believe?
any and all help for anon would be appreciated!

Now that i got your attention i'd like to boost Nader's ( @abdalsalam1990 ) story. His family in Gaza have be forcibly moved out of their homes and have to travel nine times, each travel draining their health and finances. Recently, as Nader was waiting in line for bread, he witnessed three girls who died while waiting in line because they've suffocated from the crowd and because they're already suffering from starvation in the first place. Worst part, preventable deaths like this is a daily occurance on Gaza
While we're all busy talking about cake, let's help Nader get some bread to eat :) The money will go toward his family, including his niece, multiple siblings, sister in law, and elderly mother and father.

we don't talk about it (we don't have the time)
﹂ season one of “come home”
being dustin henderson's older sister and jonathan byers' best friend is usually an uneventful affair, but when will byers goes missing and a girl with a shaved head claims she has super powers, your duties as a sister and a best friend become a lot more complicated. (it also makes your feelings suddenly complicated, which you're choosing to ignore). (and steve harrington definitely isn't helping). (as usual).
episode one: the vanishing of will byers - jonathan smuggles you free food in exchange for friendship, will goes missing the one time you listen to jonathan, hopper doesn't really like you, and steve harrington almost hits you with his car as you're sobbing like a damn baby (in a cool way).
episode two: the weirdo on maple street - you use your limited psych knowledge to help a bald girl, you force jonathan to accept $20 and he's later an ass to you, steve doesn't know what a "missing" poster looks like, and it's really hard being a single mother to now four kids.
episode three: holly, jolly - you and jonathan talk it out and things are better (spoiler alert: they aren't), you somehow end up agreeing with steve harrington ?? then you have a minor breakdown in front of the kids and once again fail to prevent them from experiencing more trauma.
episode four: the body - you basically have a "no babe don't cry over ur dead brother ur so sexy" moment with jonathan, hopper plays mr love doctor (cute date idea: coffin shopping), and somehow nancy wheeler makes you realize that you're a horrible babysitter and an even bigger idiot. meanwhile: steve harrington is frustratingly charming.
episode five: the flea and the acrobat - you and dustin have a long overdue Sibling Moment, at will's funeral you and jonathan exchange information and surprise ! it's all horrible news ! nancy has awful timing and when you leave her alone with jonathan one damn time you and steve end up trauma bonded on her front porch #bffs.
episode six: the monster - so nancy and jonathan are a Thing now and you really just need a good nap, the three of you go shopping for monster hunting supplies (which honestly isn't the weirdest thing you've done this week), an old man sells you a sentimental knife, and steve kind of accidentally kidnaps you with a sexy black eye.
episode seven: the bathtub - your brother basically places himself on the fbi's most wanted list and el flips a van with her mind, now you have to create a giant salt tub because of course you do, nancy tries Talking About It but hasn't she read the title ? you don't have the time. sidenote: you've somehow become a steve defender during these trying times. typical. meanwhile: steve's inner thoughts are pathetic.
episode eight: the upside down - drinking game time ! take a shot every time jonathan tries ditching you or every time you almost die at the byers house, you find out that steve really is an athlete and tbh it's hot, but you know what's even hotter ? saving hawkins and reaching a tentative compromise with steve after he loans you $5 for snacks. after, jonathan makes a promise you really hope he can keep.
⌑ set between seasons 1 and 2
﹂ episode nine: the beginning - BONUS EPISODE TIME ! steve becomes bookstrorindary's favorite loyal costumer, jonathan buys you a bug for christmas, you freak out your poor coworker alex, and suddenly steve is really hot and you're feeling so many feelings (bad ! it's all bad !).
⌑ status: COMPLETE
⌑ season one title based on this song x
⌑ blurbs set within "come home" can be found here x
⌑ “come home” season masterlist
*note: this is a part of my stranger things rewrite, “come home”, and other seasons can be found linked above :)

Actually? WOULD Earth be the ones to petition Oa?
They are interstellar Space Interpol. You don't usually call them on different parts of your OWN settlements or systems. You call them in when someone is breaking THE Laws. Not necessarily YOUR laws, though obviously by breaking THE laws they clearly ARE. But THE Big Laws(tm).
Like Geneva Convention for Space type laws.
You have discovered Planet or King X is committing WAR CRIMES. Call Oa. Tax fraud? That's an inter-personal planet side issue they can't help you with. Pointing Nukes at your nursery settlement and threatening to blow up the infants there unless you give them sex-slaves?
Knock-knock! Taste HARD Light Constructs!
But if so? Then how would the situation get so out of hand on Earth? With the G.I.W.? Simple. Tell me, Mr. President, what do you know of the current day to day life of villagers in rural Siberia?
That they exist? Could you even NAME their village, if I referenced specific individuals? Likely not. And no one would realistically expect you too.
There are countless planets out there! With Leaders busy with local industrial conferences and infrastructure bills. Farming regulations. Talks with that planet a few stars over. Very busy. What do THEY know of Earth? Why would they NEED too?
But! As we know, Ectoplasm is EVERYWHERE. Not just earth. And? Thin spots are not just an Earth-centric phenomenon. Other planets most CERTAINLY would have them too. And depending on the species? The culture? To quote the wise sage Bill Wurtz "you can make a religion out of this!"
After all, chosen few, returned from death... glowing and more powerful then before? Immortal? It's a pretty reasonable conclusion to come too. They are clearly Gods Touched. Some sacred task they must complete.
It would likely even shape the ghosts of the region themselves. After all, they TOO, would believe they were chosen for some Important Religious Task. Be it study or collecting rocks. To what end? Unknown. Who are they to question The Gods?
But! Oh happy day! The old tyrant is no more! A chosen Hero! They go to greet him! Honor him, as you do. Traditional gifts and ballads. Maybe some sacred rocks. A fancy hat. But? Oh? The Champion is wounded! Gasp! Still? But the fight with Pariah happened-
And then they are given Grave Warning(tm). Don't go to Earth. Heretics attacking people. KILLING souls! Trying to KILL the king of all the Infinite! He is somber because his living parents were hurt. Preventing the END OF ALL THINGS!!!??
WHAT!?
These "People In White" tried to EXPLODE the very FABRIC of all realities!? Several of them faint. Truely, these Fentons MUST be chosen by the Gods! Heros. Legends. Such bravery in the face of such HORRORS. Please, let them be brought to their Living counterparts! The hospitals are quite good!
And you know what? Fuck it. Danny will take that. Because his Mom n Dad got hurt. BAD.
They learned he was Phantom at probably the SINGLE worst time imaginable and still chose HIM. Chose THEM. The GIW were coming for him. Gonna hurt Jazz. And his parents told them, with fire and blood, it'd be a cold day in hell before they let them so much as TRY it.
They BLEW UP their own life's work. Went literally scorched earth. And now? They're not doing so good.
Because the Zone isn't made for the living. No food, no water, and no real human-safe medical supplies. They've run out. Danny will take what he can get. He'd even go to Vlad but... his Portal's gone too. And the Buzzards said he looked... spirally. Very... "suicide runs until everything BURNS".
So, yeah. No one's doing so great.
Alien planet it is.
They are greeted with fanfare and respect. The best medical teams on the PLANET. The King and his family is there, to welcome him. It's... it's beautiful. Hardly some perfect utopia, but the air is lite. Art everywhere. The stars vivid and so easy to see, at night.
The King kinda reminds him of Mr. Lancer to be honest. Balding and a bit round around the middle, stern but endlessly fair about it, wants people to do their best and succeed in life. Maybe that's why Danny finds himself opening up. Because... because here is a real, honest to God, KING king.
Somebody who was actually TRAINED to do all this King stuff.
Unlike Danny.
And Danny? He's scared. People expect him to Lead now. To know what he's doing. To somehow just... suddenly KNOW how to do all these things he's never even heard about. He only barely just died. Has BARELY been keeping everybody safe.
BARELY stopped Pariah.
He doesn't know what to do. But he pours his guts out. All the things that have bottled up. And King Not-Lancer listens. Somber and thoughtful. There is little, if anything he can TRUELY do to help. But... there ARE things he can do. Lessons on statescraft, while he's here, for one.
As for the other? Well, as King, he does have the local Lantern's Call Sign. Not to be used lightly, mind you. But what Danny describes? And from what the Sacred Ones have reported? THAT must be reported to Oa. He can show Danny how to do that.
(He does)
[The Lanterns of Earth get a VERY exciting call from Oa. Are every different shade of pissed. But? Whoops! Looks like they ACCIDENTALLY put the Watchtower into a complete Quarantine! Well, dang. Guess we're all stuck here for two weeks!
Reset it? *sound of smashing computer terminal* Yeah, don't think that's gonna work! :)
WHO WANTS TO PLAY 20 QUESTIONS?? We'll start! :) Who here has heard of an organization called, and I quote, The Ghost Investigation Ward? :) ]

18+!! MINORS DNI
masterlist
─── ⋆⋅ ♰ ⋅⋆ ───
cw: mentions of short reader, all of the guys except law-ish sound like they’re on crack, lots of wrestling, cheesy asf, is this what u do at a zoo?!
tags ✮⋆˙
fluff but mostly humorous, literal chaos, a bit ooc(?), tried to make it gender inclusive, found this prompt through pinterest lol
zoro
when you brought up the idea of going to the zoo, warned him beforehand about the “look but don’t touch” rule
you didn’t want him to see the zoo as a training arena
first suggested that yall go to the beach instead but u declined it saying, “it was too cliche”
he would never admit it but he’s silently insecure whenever he sees you get along well with the animals (whenever he smiles at them, they run away)
a small smile creeps up at the corner of his lips as he watches you gawk at the aquatic animals section
you call the seals, “sea puppies.” he just calls them “water dogs”
purposefully makes eye contact with gorillas to rile them up (he tried to ask the zookeeper to let him inside the enclosure so he can fight them to which you slap him in the back of the head for)
gorillas see eye contact as a challenge to fight
there was an event that happened where the penguins would dive and twirl underwater to impress you
zoro threatened them by claiming that he’ll ask sanji to turn them into “penguin kabobs” if they didn’t stop flirting with his gf (they got scared and ran back to their zookeeper)
attempted to smile at the otters but got scared and swam away
got lost one time and accidentally landed in the chimpanzee enclosure. you couldn’t help but laugh as the keeper got mad at him for beating up the chimpanzees bc they “gave him the stink eye”
the crew made fun of him after coming back from the zoo with a bald patch at the back of his head.
a giraffe thought his hair was grass and you had to pull him away just so he wouldn’t be tempted to use his swords on them
got both of you guys got kicked out after he tried impressing you by using three sword style on a polar bear
luffy
like zoro, u also warned him about the “look don’t touch” rule
like a kid on sugar, luffy got excited as he became enamored with the (in his own words), “big buff animals”
kept asking you which of these animals would make a delicious meal
would point at the monkeys and go, “look, it’s me!”
for the love of god, the rubber boy would not stop cracking up at the baboons and calling them “apple butts”
randomly asked you if you would find him more attractive if he was an actual monkey
he genuinely believed you when you joked about rhinos being “dinosaurs”
“NO WAY!! I THOUGHT THEY WERE EXTINCT!”
“i was jok-“
“WAIT TILL I TELL ROBIN ABOUT THIS! SHE'S GONNA BE SO JEALOUS WHEN SHE FINDS OUT THAT I DISCOVERED DINOSAURS BEFORE HER!”
he kept stretching his face and making monkey noises at the monkeys
(they looked at him with disinterest)
he thought it would be a good idea to wrestle a bear. you got mad at him after he knocked it out with his “gum-gum pistol”
he cried at the sight of the otters because he said that it reminded him of alabasta and that alabasta reminds him of vivi
he asked the giraffes if they were related to kaku and then panicked bc he “thought he was racist” for asking that
“[name], does this mean I'm not woke :(“
you got mad at him after he decided it would be a good idea to put his head inside the mouth of a hippo. the zookeeper almost fainted as the hippo bit down on his head but you assured them that his devil fruit powers would prevent him from dying that easily
you honestly contemplated your relationship with your captain/boyfriend but his stupidity is what makes him charming (to you at least)
he kept asking the zookeepers if he can keep the boa constrictor as a pet
along with wanting a snake as a pet, he kept asking the lions if they could join his crew
got emotional at the sight of leopards bc they reminded him of pedro
like zoro, he got both of yall kicked out after he tried smuggling a lion out of the cage and named it “sun destroyer 4000”
you were more surprised at the fact that you guys didn’t get kicked out earlier
sanji
“[name], my dear, how would you feel if i took you out on a date to a place of your choice?”
“well there is one place i’ve been wanting to go to for awhile.”
maybe going to the zoo with sanji was a mistake, the flirty blonde boy would not stop comparing you to every “cute” animal he saw
for long hair: it didn’t help that he purposefully braided your hair and tied them up to look like bear ears which you look even cuter in his eyes (my headcanon is that sanji knows how to braid hair hehe)
he found it cute that you saw a bunch of reindeers and called them “a family of choppers”
if there was a big crowd of people surrounding an exhibit and you couldn’t see, he would use his height to his advantage by lifting you up to get a good view of the animals
after getting down you were wondering why his nose was bleeding until you realized he had a good view under your skirt
if you’re wearing pants, he just nose bled at the sight of your gyat
you joked with him saying that you would find it hot if he wrestled an ostrich. but sanji being sanji, took it literal and actually did it
the zookeeper yelled at him after the ostrich was left unconscious
flirtatiously asked if you would still find him attractive even if he was an animal
“no, sanji, that would be beastiality.”
felt his whole face heat up after you put on matching ear headbands with him
in response, he tried to buy out the whole gift shop
tried to convince you into buying “i’m his, im hers” shirts but you told him it was cringe which hurt his ego
for gn! readers, bro tried to buy those “im cool, im cooler shirts” cause he a lil cheesy
when you became enamored with the snake exhibit he tried to flex saying, “you wouldn’t have to worry about a snake swallowing you bc i would be there to protect you, my dear”
you compared him to a ram bc you saw him as courageous and determined for his crew
“[NAME] SWANNN, YOU CAN’T JUST SAY THAT OUT OF THE BLUE!” there goes your man…
almost nose bled AGAIN at the thought of you as a red panda while visiting the exhibit (you thought he was tweakin)
got jealous when you said tigers were just as cool as zoro
he compared zoro to a baboon bc he’s always scratching his ass and sniffing his hand after (wait why is this lowk a good headcanon 😝)
you found it adorable as you watched him feed the animals in the petting zoo as if he were their father
he freaked out as the goat stole the cigarette out of his mouth and ate it in front of him.
one of your fave moments of intimacy with sanji would be sharing cotton candy with him as you watched the penguins do tricks in the water
after getting back on the sunny, you decided to surprise him with a ram plushie you bought behind his back
he thanked you by peppering your face in kisses and showering you in praises
“oh my dear, [name]. you don’t need to spoil me like that! it should be the other way around!”
Tumblr media
bonus!! trafalgar law
law asked his crew beforehand on “great date spots” to take you out on; to which penguin suggested yall go to the zoo
he never cared for the zoo but as long as you were happy he didn’t mind
got flustered after you mentioned that snow leopards reminded you of him
he bought you a snow leopard plush and you named it “traffy”
you asked him if you should buy souvenirs for the crew
you asked him if you could adopt a polar bear so that bepo would have a friend. he replied with, “no bc he’s already friends with me”
thought it would be funny to teleport you to the lion enclosure until his powers conveniently started tweaking and he couldn’t teleport you back out
you punched him in the head after you came back with scratches from wrestling them
he felt bad for the joke he did on u, so he teleported you to the capybara enclosure as an apology
compared you to a meerkat bc “you’re short but really fast on those legs.” you responded by threatening to give his sword away to zoro
made fun of you after you got startled by him in the insect section. he laughed as you slapped his hand after he pretended it was a tarantula
he likes to install fear into u by explaining different ways each animal can kill you
he would purposefullykiss you in front of the monkeys after they tried flirting with you
the zookeeper had to tell him to stop bc they were afraid that they would break out their enclosure
what pissed him off even more was the fact it reminded him of the rubber boy
after you guys get back to the submarine, the crew crowded you as you gave them their souvenirs. law couldn’t help but smile at your generosity and friendship with everyone
oh yea….he felt himself fall in-love with you again

This rise in medical tourism can largely be attributed to Turkey's commitment to providing world-class healthcare services, especially in the field of hair restoration.
The hair transplant procedure in Turkey is conducted by highly skilled professionals who use state-of-the-art technology to ensure the best possible results. Patients considering this surgical treatment are provided with a comprehensive pre-surgery consultation. During this consultation, the procedure is thoroughly explained, and all questions and concerns are addressed. This in-depth discussion helps in setting realistic expectations, which is crucial for patient satisfaction.
Following the pre-surgery consultation, the transplant surgery is conducted under strict hygienic conditions. The focus on the quality of care is unparalleled, making the hair restoration process in Turkey a highly sought-after service globally. Patients from all walks of life travel for healthcare to this Eurasian country, drawn by the promise of a successful and cost-effective hair transplant in Turkey.
Furthermore, the affordability of the hair transplant procedure in Turkey is a significant factor attracting medical tourists. Despite the high quality of care, hair transplant cost in Turkey is reasonable, making it accessible to a larger group of people. Therefore, an increasing number of people are choosing to travel to Turkey for their surgical treatment.
In conclusion, the combination of skilled surgical treatment, excellent quality of care, and affordability have positioned Turkey as a leading destination for hair transplant surgery. The trend of medical tourism for hair restoration shows no signs of slowing down, indicating that Turkey will continue to be a popular choice for those seeking hair transplants.
Addressing Hair Loss: Unpacking the Benefits of Hair Transplant in Turkey
Hair loss is a common concern that affects millions of people worldwide. Whether it's due to aging, hormonal changes, or genetic factors, losing your hair can significantly impact your self-esteem and overall appearance. From receding hairlines to pattern baldness, the manifestations of hair thinning and alopecia are diverse and complex.
Pattern baldness, including male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness, is a prevalent form of hair loss. It is primarily driven by genetic factors and is medically known as androgenetic alopecia. This condition is characterized by a specific pattern of hair thinning that starts from the temples or the crown. It doesn't discriminate based on gender; both men and women can be affected, albeit in different ways.
In men, the first sign of male pattern baldness is often a receding hairline or thinning at the crown. Women, on the other hand, rarely experience a receding hairline. Female pattern baldness typically presents as overall thinning across the entire scalp or widening of the part line. Regardless of gender, these conditions can deliver a significant blow to one's self-confidence.
Alopecia, another common form of hair loss, is a condition where hair falls out in small patches. It can be very noticeable and distressing, causing individuals to seek out hair loss solutions. Although there are various hair loss prevention methods available, they often fall short of restoring the hair to its former glory.
Enter the world of hair transplants—a permanent hair loss solution that's gaining attention for its impressive results. Hair transplants have evolved significantly over the years, offering a more natural look and less downtime. And where better to seek this treatment than in Turkey?
Turkey has become a popular destination for individuals seeking hair transplant procedures due to its advanced healthcare system, experienced medical practitioners, and competitive prices. The country's medical tourism industry is flourishing, with hair transplant surgeries at the forefront.
In a nutshell, hair transplant in Turkey offers a beacon of hope for those struggling with hair loss, baldness, or receding hairlines. It's a viable solution to androgenetic alopecia, male pattern baldness, female pattern baldness, and other types of hair thinning conditions. By choosing this treatment, individuals can reclaim their confidence and enjoy a fuller, healthier hairline.
Understanding the Processes of Hair Transplant In Turkey: Follicular Unit Extraction and Transplantation
When it comes to restoring confidence and self-esteem, a hair transplant in Turkey has become a popular solution for many. Understanding the intricate processes of FUE Hair Transplant Turkey and follicular unit transplantation (FUT) can help you make an informed decision about your hair restoration journey.
Follicular unit extraction and follicular unit transplantation are the two main procedures utilized in hair grafting. Both techniques involve removing hair from a donor area of the scalp and transplanting it to a recipient area, usually the balding or thinning sections.
In the follicular unit extraction process, individual hair follicles are extracted directly from the donor area, typically the back or sides of the head where hair is more resistant to balding. These follicles are then implanted into the recipient area. The main advantage of this technique is that it leaves minimal scarring, making it an excellent choice for those who prefer to wear their hair short.
On the other hand, follicular unit transplantation involves removing a strip of skin from the donor area. This strip is then divided into individual follicular units which are implanted into the recipient area. While this may leave a minor scar in the donor area, the technique allows for a larger number of hair follicles to be transplanted in a single session.
Regardless of the method chosen, the success of a hair transplant largely depends on the skill and expertise of the surgeon performing the scalp surgery. The transplantation should be done with precision to ensure that the implanted hair follicles grow in the same direction as the existing hair, providing a natural and undetectable result.
In conclusion, both follicular unit extraction and follicular unit transplantation are effective hair grafting techniques used in Turkey. The choice between the two typically depends on the individual’s hair type, the size of the donor area, and personal preferences. Consulting with a professional can help determine the best course of action for each individual case.
Enhancing Hair Growth and Density through Hair Transplant in Turkey
Hair transplant in Turkey has become a popular solution for people who wish to regain a full head of hair. This procedure is not just about restoring hair density but also about achieving a natural look that blends seamlessly with your existing hair.
The process of hair transplant involves the transfer of hair follicles from a part of your body with sufficient hair coverage to the balding or thinning areas, essentially stimulating hair growth and regrowth in those regions. This technique ensures an increase in hair density, which is crucial for those desiring a fuller head of hair.
One of the major advantages of getting a hair transplant in Turkey is that it offers a permanent solution to hair loss. Unlike hair growth products that require continuous use, a hair transplant offers long-lasting results. Once the transplanted hair follicles have fully healed and grown, you can expect them to behave just like your natural hair. This means you can cut, color, and style them as you please.
But a hair transplant goes beyond just increasing hair density. The procedure aims to give you a natural look, with the transplanted hair blending seamlessly with your existing hair. This gives an impression of natural hair growth, which can significantly boost your confidence and self-esteem.
Of course, after undergoing a hair transplant in Turkey, it's important to adopt a healthy hair care routine to maintain the results. This includes regular shampooing, conditioning, and overall protection of your hair from harmful environmental factors. Remember, healthy hair care is essential not just for the transplanted hair but also for your existing hair.
In conclusion, a hair transplant in Turkey offers a promising solution for those struggling with hair loss. It can improve hair density, provide a natural look, and offer a permanent solution to hair loss. With the right healthy hair care, you can maintain these results and enjoy the benefits of a full head of hair.
Understanding Anesthesia, Post-Operation Care, and Recovery Time in Hair Transplantation: The Role of Professional Expertise
Anesthesia plays a crucial role in hair transplant procedures. It is the first step in the process, ensuring that the patient is comfortable and pain-free throughout the surgery. The type of anesthesia used typically depends on the specific hair transplant method chosen. It is administered by a hair surgeon with professional expertise, underscoring the importance of choosing a well-qualified and experienced professional for your hair transplant in Turkey.
Following the procedure, post-operation care is an integral part of the hair transplant process. This involves carefully following the surgeon's instructions to ensure optimal healing and growth of the transplanted hair. Post-operation care may include specific guidelines on washing and treating the scalp, the use of certain hair products, and the need to avoid certain activities that may interfere with the healing process.
Additionally, it's essential to understand the recovery time associated with a hair transplant. While this can vary depending on individual circumstances and the specific surgical technique used, most patients can expect to see the full results of their hair transplant within six to twelve months post-operation. However, some initial results, such as the cessation of hair loss and the growth of new hair, can often be observed within a few weeks of the surgery.
The professional expertise of your hair surgeon plays a pivotal role in every stage of the hair transplant process, from the administration of anesthesia to the guidance provided for post-operation care and setting realistic expectations for recovery time. Therefore, when considering a hair transplant in Turkey, it's crucial to choose a surgeon with a proven track record in the field. This will not only ensure the highest standards of safety and care throughout the procedure but also increase the likelihood of achieving the best possible results from your hair transplant.
Enhancing Hair Transplant Success: Role of Scarring and Hair Care Routine in Turkey
Hair transplants in Turkey have emerged as a go-to solution for individuals grappling with hair loss. However, the success of this procedure doesn't end at the surgeon's table. It extends into post-surgery care, particularly in the areas of scarring, hair care routine, and hair hygiene.
Scarring is a common concern among individuals seeking a hair transplant. The visibility and extent of scarring can greatly impact the overall result of the procedure. It is essential to understand that proper scalp health care can minimize the appearance of these scars. A healthy scalp forms a vital base for the new hair follicles, promoting their growth and ensuring the longevity of the transplant.
Hair hygiene is another critical factor that shouldn't be neglected post-surgery. Washing your hair with the right hair products helps in maintaining the cleanliness of the scalp, preventing any infections that could potentially affect the newly transplanted follicles. It is advisable to use a shampoo and conditioner that are gentle on the scalp and nourishing for the hair.
In addition, incorporating hair oil into your hair care routine can also be beneficial. It helps in nourishing the scalp and supports the growth of healthy hair. It's important to remember that a well-nourished scalp promotes better hair growth, which is crucial for the overall results of the hair transplant.
The use of hair masks is another effective way to provide the necessary nutrients to your scalp and hair. Hair masks can offer deep conditioning, strengthening the hair follicles, and enhancing the health of your scalp. It's an excellent addition to your hair care routine, especially after undergoing a hair transplant in Turkey.
Lastly, here are some hair care tips to consider post-transplant. Avoid exposing your scalp to harsh environmental conditions, such as excessive sun or pollutants. Maintain a balanced diet to provide essential nutrients for hair growth. Regularly massage your scalp to improve blood circulation, promoting healthier hair growth.
In conclusion, maintaining proper scalp health, following a healthy hair care routine, and using the right hair products are critical for a successful hair transplant. These factors also help in minimizing scarring and ensuring your new hair grows out healthy and strong. Remember, the journey to a successful hair transplant goes beyond the surgery; it continues well into your post-surgery care and routine.
Exploring Non-Surgical Alternatives to Hair Transplant in Turkey
Engaging in hair transplant procedures is a common solution for those experiencing hair loss. However, Turkey is not only famous for its surgical hair transplant methods but also its wide array of non-surgical options. These alternatives are often more affordable, less invasive, and require significantly less recovery time than surgical procedures.
One of the most popular non-surgical options for hair restoration in Turkey is medical treatment. These treatments employ the use of DHT blockers and hair regrowth medications, which are specifically designed to combat hair loss and promote the growth of new hair. DHT blockers work by inhibiting the production of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone known to contribute to hair loss.
Finasteride and Minoxidil are two of the most commonly used hair regrowth medications in Turkey. Finasteride is a DHT blocker, while Minoxidil is a vasodilator, which increases blood flow to the hair follicles, stimulating growth and thickening the hair shaft. Both of these medications have proven successful in slowing down hair loss and promoting hair regrowth.
PRP therapy, also known as Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy, is another non-surgical option that is gaining popularity in Turkey. This therapy involves the injection of the patient's own platelets into the scalp to stimulate hair growth. The platelets, rich in growth factors, work to repair damaged hair follicles, leading to increased hair growth.
Mesotherapy is also a widely practiced non-surgical hair restoration method in Turkey. It involves the injection of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids directly into the scalp to nourish and stimulate the hair follicles. This method is believed to enhance the health of the hair and scalp, promoting hair growth.
Laser therapy is another non-surgical treatment that utilizes low-level lasers to stimulate hair follicles, increase blood flow, and enhance hair growth. This method is often recommended for those with early-stage hair loss.
Lastly, scalp micropigmentation is a cosmetic procedure where pigments are injected into the scalp to create the appearance of a fuller, denser head of hair. This method is particularly popular for those looking to conceal thinning hair or balding areas without undergoing a surgical procedure.
In conclusion, there are numerous non-surgical options available for hair restoration in Turkey. Each method has its own advantages and suitability, depending on the individual's hair condition and personal preferences. Therefore, it's crucial to consult with a professional to identify the most suitable treatment based on your specific needs.
The Impact of Hairstyling Practices on the Need for Hair Transplant in Turkey
In the realm of personal grooming, hair styles play a prominent role in defining one's appearance. From curling and straightening to braiding and coloring, there is an endless spectrum of hairstyling tools and techniques individuals resort to, in order to create the unique look they desire. However, these practices could potentially lead to hair damage, and in severe cases, might even necessitate a hair transplant.
The frequent use of hairstyling tools, such as hair straighteners, curlers, and blow dryers, can cause considerable heat damage to the hair. This heat damage is a result of the excessive temperature that these tools employ to alter the hair's structure. Over time, this can lead to hair becoming brittle, dry, and prone to breakage, which may increase the need for a hair transplant in Turkey, a country known for its expertise in the field.
Similarly, chemical treatments like hair dye and hair bleach can significantly impact the hair's health. Hair dye and bleach work by opening the hair cuticle and changing the hair's natural pigment. This process, while effective for changing hair color, can be detrimental to the hair's overall health, leading to weakened hair strands, split ends, and hair loss. Subsequently, individuals suffering from severe hair damage due to such treatments may find themselves considering a hair transplant.
Hair straightening treatments, for instance, Japanese and Brazilian straightening, can also contribute to hair damage. These treatments involve the use of chemicals to break down the hair's natural structure and then rebuild it in a straightened form. The harsh chemicals used in these processes can cause hair to become weak and brittle, leading to hair loss.
Hair braiding, on the other hand, when done excessively tight, can lead to a condition known as traction alopecia. This condition, characterized by gradual hair loss, is caused by the prolonged tension on the hair strands. It is a common issue among individuals who often wear their hair in tight braids or ponytails, and it may eventually lead to the need for a hair transplant.
In conclusion, while hairstyling tools and techniques can help individuals achieve various hair styles, it's important to use them mindfully. The excessive use or misuse of these tools and treatments can lead to considerable hair damage, and in severe cases, may necessitate a hair transplant. While Turkey offers high-quality hair transplant services, prevention is always better than cure. Therefore, it's crucial to take proper care of your hair and use hairstyling tools and treatments responsibly.
Essential Hair Care Tools for Post-Transplant Maintenance in Turkey
After a hair transplant in Turkey, maintaining the health and appearance of your new hair is crucial. This is where hair accessories come in handy. These tools not only help you style your hair but also help in ensuring its health and longevity.
The hair brush is a fundamental accessory for anyone who has had a hair transplant. It helps to distribute natural oils from the scalp to the ends of the hair, keeping it moisturized and healthy. Furthermore, brushing your hair regularly can also prevent tangling and breakage.
Just as important as the hair brush is the hair comb. Ideal for detangling hair without causing unnecessary stress, a hair comb is a must-have in your hair care kit post-transplant. It is particularly beneficial for those who have had a hair transplant, as it helps prevent pulling or tugging on the new hair follicles.
Another key accessory for maintaining your newly transplanted hair is the hair dryer. While air-drying is the most gentle method, sometimes it may not be practical or possible. A hair dryer can speed up the drying process and give your hair a polished, styled look.
However, it's important to remember that heat can potentially damage hair. This is where hair straighteners and hair curlers come into play. These tools allow you to style your hair while minimizing the potential damage caused by heat. Hair straighteners can help tame frizz and give hair a sleek, smooth appearance. On the other hand, hair curlers can add volume and bounciness to your hair, giving it a fuller look post-transplant.
Finally, hair clips, hair bands, hair pins, and hair ties are all essential accessories to have in your arsenal. These tools help keep hair out of your face, secure hairstyles, and add a touch of style to your look. They are particularly useful during the healing process post-transplant when you need to keep hair away from the scalp to reduce tension on new hair follicles.
In conclusion, while having a hair transplant in Turkey can give you a renewed sense of confidence with a fuller head of hair, it is crucial to maintain the health and appearance of your new hair with the right hair accessories. These tools can make your post-transplant care routine easier and more efficient, ensuring that your new hair remains as healthy and vibrant as possible.
Exploring Hair Transplant Alternatives in Turkey: Extensions, Wigs, Toupees, Weaves, and Pieces
Hair transplant in Turkey offers a diverse range of solutions for individuals experiencing hair loss. However, not everyone is comfortable with the idea of undergoing a surgical procedure. This is where hair extensions, wigs, toupees, hair weaves, and hair pieces come into play. These non-surgical solutions can provide an immediate transformation without the need for a surgical procedure.
Hair extensions are a popular choice for those who want to add volume and length to their existing hair. They are attached to the natural hair and can blend seamlessly, giving the illusion of fuller, longer hair. Extensions can be made from real or synthetic hair, and Turkey is known for its high-quality hair extensions that can match a variety of hair types and colors.
For individuals experiencing significant hair loss, wigs may be a more suitable option. Wigs can provide a completely new look, covering the entire scalp. The modern-day wigs available in Turkey are designed to look and feel natural, offering an impressive level of comfort and realism.
Toupees, on the other hand, are smaller than wigs and are typically used to cover specific areas of hair loss, such as the crown of the head. Toupees in Turkey are custom-made to match the individual's hair color, texture, and density, ensuring a seamless blend with the existing hair.
Hair weaves are another non-surgical solution to hair loss. This method involves braiding the existing hair and sewing in additional hair, either in wefts or as individual strands. Hair weaves can add significant volume and length, and are a popular choice in Turkey for individuals with thinning hair.
Lastly, hair pieces are similar to toupees, but they are typically used to cover smaller areas of hair loss. Hair pieces can be clipped, glued, or sewn into the existing hair, providing a solution that is both natural-looking and secure.
In conclusion, while hair transplant is a popular solution for hair loss in Turkey, there are numerous non-surgical alternatives available. From hair extensions to wigs, toupees, hair weaves, and hair pieces, individuals experiencing hair loss have a wealth of options to choose from.
Enhancing Your Look Post Hair Transplant in Turkey: Eye Makeup and Eyebrow Techniques
One of the best ways to complement your new hair transplant in Turkey is to pay attention to other areas of your face, such as your eyes and eyebrows. Opting for false eyelashes, for instance, can really make your eyes pop and draw attention to your beautiful new hairline. False eyelashes come in a variety of styles to suit every eye shape and personal preference. From dramatic, thick lashes for a night out to subtle, natural-looking lashes for everyday wear, you're sure to find the perfect pair to enhance your look.
Eyebrow shaping is another way to highlight your newly transplanted hair. A well-shaped eyebrow can change the entire look of your face and create a more balanced, harmonious appearance. Whether you prefer a bold, thick eyebrow or a thin, delicate shape, a professional can help you achieve your desired look.
Eyebrow threading is a popular method of eyebrow shaping. This technique uses a thin cotton thread to remove unwanted hair, creating a clean, precise shape. Alternatively, eyebrow waxing is a quick and efficient method of removing large amounts of hair at once. Both methods can help define your eyebrows and enhance your overall look.
Eyebrow tinting is another service you might want to consider after your hair transplant in Turkey. This procedure involves applying a semi-permanent dye to your eyebrows, giving them a fuller, more defined appearance. The color can be customized to match your new hair color perfectly, ensuring a cohesive look.
Eyebrow microblading is a more permanent solution for those looking to enhance their eyebrows. This technique involves tattooing individual hair strokes onto the skin, creating the illusion of fuller, perfectly shaped eyebrows.
To further highlight your eyes, consider eyelash extensions. These semi-permanent lashes are glued to your natural lashes, creating a fuller, longer look. They can last for several weeks with proper care, making them a convenient option for those who want to minimize their daily makeup routine.
An eyelash curler can also help to lift and curl your lashes, creating an open, awake look. This tool can be used on both your natural lashes and eyelash extensions.
Eyelash serum is another great product to incorporate into your routine. This product is designed to nourish your lashes, promoting growth and strength. Combined with mascara, eyelash serum can help your lashes look fuller and longer.
Speaking of mascara, this essential makeup product can help enhance your lashes, adding length and volume. Whether you prefer a waterproof formula or a lengthening one, mascara is a must-have item to complement your hair transplant in Turkey.
In conclusion, while your new hair transplant in Turkey is sure to enhance your appearance, don't forget about your eyes and eyebrows. By utilizing techniques like eyebrow shaping, threading, and tinting, and incorporating tools and products like false eyelashes, eyelash extensions, eyelash curlers, eyelash serum, and mascara, you can create a balanced, harmonious look that truly highlights your new hair.
Preparing Your Skin for Hair Transplant in Turkey: A Comprehensive Guide to Skin Care
Before embarking on your journey for a hair transplant in Turkey, it's essential to consider the health of your skin. This includes the routine of makeup removal, using the right facial cleanser, moisturizer, and more. Proper skin care is crucial in creating the best environment for a successful hair transplant procedure.
Firstly, makeup removal is a must. The chemicals in makeup can interfere with the hair transplant process, and hence, it's important to thoroughly cleanse your skin before the procedure. A gentle facial cleanser should be used to remove all traces of makeup and dirt from your skin. This facilitates a clean surface for the hair transplant procedure, promoting better graft survival and overall results.
Next, moisturizing is a step that should never be skipped. A good moisturizer helps maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier and provides a protective layer for your skin. This is vital in the days leading up to your hair transplant in Turkey as it can help keep your skin in optimal condition for the procedure.
Sunscreen also plays an important role in pre-hair transplant skin care. It is essential to shield your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun, as sun damage can affect the health of your skin and potentially impact the success of your hair transplant.
Anti-aging creams and serums are beneficial for maintaining the elasticity and health of your skin. Face serums, in particular, deliver a high concentration of active ingredients to your skin, which can aid in creating a healthier environment for your hair transplant.
Skin exfoliation is another crucial step. It helps in removing dead skin cells, allowing your skin to better absorb the nutrients from your skincare products. However, remember to exfoliate gently to avoid causing any irritation or damage to your skin.
Acne treatment is also important. If you are prone to breakouts, it's advised to manage your acne before your hair transplant procedure. This is because active acne can pose a risk of infection during the procedure.
The use of a face mask can help deliver nutrients deep into your skin, and an under eye cream can help maintain the health of the delicate skin around your eyes. This complete skincare routine will ensure that your skin is in its best condition, ready for your hair transplant in Turkey.
Enhancing Your Look: The Importance of Lip Care in Hair Transplant Recovery in Turkey
When discussing hair transplant in Turkey, it's not just about the hair on your head. As a holistic process, it also involves paying attention to other aspects of your appearance. One often overlooked area is lip care. This article will delve into the significance of lip care post-hair transplant, and how elements like lip balm, lip scrub, and lip mask can aid in your overall recovery and appearance.
Firstly, let's address the importance of lip care. Your lips, much like your scalp, are sensitive and prone to dryness and irritation. This can be exacerbated by the stress and strain your body goes through during a hair transplant. Therefore, taking care of your lips is a crucial part of the recovery process.
Lip balm is a key component of lip care. It helps to keep your lips moisturized and protected, particularly in the dry climate of Turkey. Regular application of lip balm can prevent chapping and flaking, ensuring your lips remain soft and supple. It may not directly impact your hair transplant results, but it can definitely enhance your overall appearance.
A good lip scrub, on the other hand, is all about exfoliation. It gently removes dead skin cells, revealing the fresh and healthy skin beneath. This is particularly beneficial after a hair transplant, as your body is working hard to heal and renew itself. Incorporating a lip scrub into your post-transplant skincare routine can thus not only maintain the health of your lips but also contribute to a more vibrant and youthful look.
Lastly, let's talk about the lip mask. Much like a face mask, a lip mask is designed to provide an intense burst of hydration and nourishment. After a hair transplant procedure, your body needs all the care it can get. A lip mask can provide that extra boost, leaving your lips feeling revitalized and refreshed.
In conclusion, while the primary focus of a hair transplant in Turkey is to address hair loss, it's important not to neglect other aspects of your appearance. Lip care, involving the use of lip balm, lip scrub, and lip mask, plays a crucial role in your overall recovery and aesthetic appeal. So, while you're caring for your new hair, don't forget to show some love to your lips as well.
Enhancing Hair Growth Post-Transplant: The Role of Vitamins, Diet, and Lifestyle
The success of a hair transplant in Turkey is not solely dependent on the surgical procedure. Rather, it is a combination of the procedure itself and the aftercare that the patient adheres to. A crucial aspect of this aftercare involves paying close attention to one's diet and lifestyle, which can significantly influence the overall outcome of the hair transplant.
Hair vitamins, such as biotin, play an integral part in promoting healthy hair growth after a hair transplant. Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, is renowned for its role in improving the infrastructure of keratin, a protein that makes up hair, skin, and nails. By incorporating biotin-rich foods into your diet or taking biotin supplements, you can potentially enhance the growth of your transplanted hair.
A protein-rich diet is another vital component for hair growth post-transplant. Hair follicles are primarily made up of protein, thus a diet lacking in this nutrient can hinder hair growth and lead to hair weakness. Consuming protein-rich foods can provide the necessary nutrients for the new hair follicles, ensuring their optimal growth and strength.
Stress management is undeniably crucial in the hair transplant journey. High levels of stress can potentially lead to hair loss, a situation that can be devastating, particularly after a hair transplant. Engaging in stress management techniques such as meditation, yoga, or even simple breathing exercises can aid in maintaining a healthy mental state, thus promoting better hair health.
Lastly, living a healthy lifestyle is key to successful hair growth after a hair transplant in Turkey. This includes regular exercise, adequate sleep, and abstaining from harmful habits such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption. These practices not only promote overall health but also ensure that your body is in the best condition to support and sustain the newly transplained hair follicles.
In conclusion, hair transplant success is not just about the procedure but also about the aftercare. By considering these factors - hair vitamins like biotin, maintaining a protein-rich diet, managing stress, and living a healthy lifestyle, patients can significantly increase the chances of their hair transplant success.
Enhancing Hair Transplant Success: Incorporating Healthy Habits in Turkey
After having a hair transplant in Turkey, it is essential to follow a comprehensive post-operative care routine to ensure the success of the procedure. This involves maintaining a healthy lifestyle, following a strict hair care routine, and ensuring optimal scalp health.
A protein-rich diet forms the foundation of a healthy lifestyle, which is a critical aspect of hair transplant recovery. Consuming foods high in protein, such as lean meats, eggs, and legumes, can significantly enhance the growth and strength of new hair follicles. Moreover, incorporating hair vitamins like biotin into your diet can further enhance the health and vibrancy of your hair.
Alongside a balanced diet, stress management plays an equally important role in hair transplant success. Chronic stress can negatively impact the health of your hair, slowing down the growth of new hair follicles. Therefore, following stress management techniques such as yoga, meditation, and regular exercise can significantly enhance the outcomes of a hair transplant procedure.
Hair hygiene is another critical aspect of post-operative care. Using the right hair products, such as a gentle shampoo and conditioner, can help maintain the health of newly transplanted hair follicles. It's also essential to regularly apply hair oil and a hair mask to keep your scalp nourished, ensuring the longevity of the transplant.
A personalized hair care routine can go a long way in preserving the results of your hair transplant. This might include regular hair washing, using a soft towel to dry your hair, and avoiding harsh hair products. Regular scalp massages can also stimulate blood flow and promote hair growth.
These hair care tips, combined with a healthy lifestyle and stress management, can significantly enhance the success of a hair transplant procedure. While a hair transplant in Turkey can provide you with a full head of hair, maintaining it requires consistent effort and care. So, embrace these habits for a successful hair transplant journey. Remember, your hair is an investment, and how you treat it post-transplant can determine how long-lasting and effective your transplant results will be.

I need a fic where Ghost and Soap are on the run but like, framed and on the run.
They're on an assignment, just the two of them, to co-lead a team for the prevention of assassination for some big-name politician (dunno, I like to think this would happen either in usa or in the uk...) and it's all done and they're about to pack their shit and go back to base when Soap gets an encrypted call from Price to tell him that a video of Ghost killing the same big-name politician is on the telly
It's not Ghost, obviously, but it's someone of Ghost's posture, in Ghost's gear and Ghost's mask.
Also obviously, Soap doesn't believe it.
They get surrounded pretty fast by the local SWAT-like team and Soap makes Ghost use him as a hostage so they can escape with a minimal amount of maiming -- Soap is pretty sure Ghost could escape on his own, but it'd be a bloody mess that would follow him after he was proven to be framed.
Of course, Ghost tries to get Soap to leave once they're out of the danger zone. He does not.
Cue Ghost and Soap on the run while Price, Gaz and Lasewell try to find out who is framing him.
Simon's existence was erased so much that there are no pictures of him anywhere so instead, his APB has a sketch and a description. Problem is, the scars on his face were included, and way too characteristic to miss them (whether it's the glasgow smile or other scars, dunno, but you get my point). At first, it's really hard to move around because scars/mask + Simon being like 6'4 and built like a tank scream 'notice me'. Simon grows out a beard - it's red-ish blond colour so he ends up dying his hair red too. He absolutely doesn't care but Soap mourns because he's barely started being able to see Simon's face and hair and now it's all changed up.
Soap doesn't have an APB at first, but after a couple of days he is named as complicit (because he's seen helping Ghost run) and his photo is out. He has to shave the mohawk because it's too eye-catching (he's fucking bald and he hates it). He has to rein in his accent because he is described as glasgowian scottish. He can't call his maw so he sends her a random postcard he picked up a few towns ago and sends a short and cryptic message, hoping she believes he's not a terrorist.
Soap also finds out Ghost knows way too many shady people and knows way too easily where to look for even more shady people if he needs something the former people don't have. They steal shit out of necessity, often clothes and food, but sometimes they pickpocket cards and wallets. Some days they sleep in the car, some days they stop at questionable motels or hostels, and some days they don't sleep at all. They have burner phones but don't contact Price at all.
There would be a mandatory 'taking care of each others' wounds' scene (no bandages, please, you rarely use bandages in healthcare nowadays) after a dangerous run-in, a mandatory 'pretend to be a couple to lose the trail' and after that, an awkward 'there was only one bed' scene where things happen for the first time and they have a sloppy handjob or two.
They're probably trying to escape the country but can't do it via air because of the APBs and have to make their way to some shady port and even shadier ferry or cargo ship that won't run their fake passports in the system if they pay well enough.
Ghost is surprising Soap once again with an off-shore bank account and a knowledge of whichever country they're in's language. They move somewhere less crowded but not small enough that two Brits would be weird. Some people refer to Ghost as Soap's husband.
Weeks or months go by.
"What if they can't prove I didn't do it?"
"You faked your death once, love, I think you can do it twice."

hello! sorry to bother you but i am currently working on character designs for my next d&d campaign. i am creating a winged elf inspired by avariels, and he will have some form of physical disability which causes them to be unable to fly. however, i am not very educated about physical disabilities, so do you know any which might affect limbs such as wings and any ways i could portray life with them and accommodations for them in a respectful way? any tips are appreciated. thank you :)))
Wing disabilities are a bit harder to research than regular human limb disabilities, but you might be amused to learn that the very first thing i found upon a quick search for bird wing deformities was something called "angel wing", found in many different bird species. I've linked the article I found. It develops over time and can be corrected, but obviously when it happens in wild birds they have no means to fix it on their own and it becomes permanent.
Angel wing is a deformation of the wrist area, making it droop and then turn outwards. Once it's permanent, the crooked shape of the wing makes flight impossible. If a winged humanoid had this problem, they would need to worry about things like how far the crooked wing sticks out, maybe bracing it to alleviate chronic pain. I'm sure something like that would cause pain, even if it wasn't mentioned in the article. It may be helpful to clip the feathers on that part of the wing, so they're not in the way. Finding a comfortable sleep position may also be a bit tricky.
Other possible wing disabilities which I have not researched at all but sound like plausible congenital issues for people with wings:
- underdeveloped wings. They never get big enough for flight, maybe the feathers never grow in properly, possibly they're also shaped wrong for flight. Could come with chronic pain, weak muscles/atrophy, etc.
- missing wing. Somehow just didn't develop a wing, or developed a nub where the wing should be. Could also be missing just the "hand" part of the wing.
- general feather growth problems. Weak feathers, feathers that come in short, chronic molting that causes a lot of unhelpful bald patches, etc.
- chronic joint pain. Wings appear to be normal, but the joints hurt a lot and movement is difficult.
You can also go the route of disability by injury, having a wing broken or amputated or otherwise harmed in a way that is difficult or impossible to recover from.
Overall, the accommodations needed could include pain relief, a brace to keep the wing in a comfortable folded position, feather clipping, massages, etc. Mobitiy aids to let this character fly without the use of their wings is easy to handle in fantasy because you could give him an enchanted flying device of some sort. Magical prosthetic wing might work, but that depends on the disability you're working with and also wing prosthetics are pretty tricky. It would not be as functional as a real wing. If the wings are fully grown and intact, but the problem is something like joint pain, then a flight brace to steady the wings could be useful. They'd only be able to fly for short bursts though, probably. But it would be akin to giving someone leg braces so they can walk, while also having access to crutches or a wheelchair. You can work with your dm on figuring out what's allowed in the campaign setting.
As for being respectful in how you portray the character, I think the most important thing is to let them be a full person. The disability is obviously a major part of their life, but they ought to have more personality than that. Hobbies, interests, attitude.
They're also allowed to be sad about the disability, but this should not be their main defining trait. I think it is pretty normal to be sad that you have a physical difference preventing you from doing something other people can easily do. The problem in fictional characters who are sad about their disabilities is that it often becomes Their Entire Thing and then the character arc is either "so I became evil about it" or "and then they died" or "but there was a magical perfect fix!" all of which obviously don't respect the reality of being disabled. But making them totally happy go lucky about it also doesn't work. So you just need the middle area there, as that's the most realistic one. How does it feel to have a permanent disability? Well, it ends up feeling pretty normal when you're used to it. Sometimes it sucks a lot. Sometimes you hardly pay attention to it. Focus on making your character emotionally varied and give them an interesting personality that makes their interactions with other characters more fun.
Roleplay games are great for that, because you'll have to mesh with the group and really flesh out your character relationships as you go.
Anyway I hope that was all helpful! No illustrations to show, because I'm sleepy today. But good luck with your character! And maybe go check out @cripplecharacters for extra advice on generalized disability rep if you haven't already!

Small rough comic while I finish the next species introduction sheet.
For context, this is the Prectikar Obin and his human friend Zoe ! (Yeah, you better believe I've got characters too. Will prolly post more of them after the species intro sheets so you guys have more of a baseline for what the character is XD.
Obin is very comfortable being trans around humans (who raised him and who he’s lived around his whole life) but his first time presenting explicitly as such in front of other Prectikar was a bit stressful, since their widely held religious beliefs say that being that way is deviation from their creator god’s will (the idea that any of them who follow their old traditions (trads) are all phobic is a harmful stereotype , from a vocal minority of them, but still a concern since the sentiment that queerness is weird or wrong is still more coded into their culture than in current canon humans). He already shows his gender identity with a nose piercing rather than a chin one, and his large size and musculature caused by a combo of gigantism and working out also helps make him appear more masculine to both Prectikar and humans, but going as far as altering the throat sac during the season is a much bigger step —>
As i mentioned in their ref sheet, Prectikar have a breeding season in late winter, where males will lose the feathers on their throat to show off a bright yellow color on their skin (females don’t do this, and instead will grow longer feathers on their back and chest). A common way for trans Prectikar to deal with this (without medically transitioning/using hrt to prevent it from happening that way in the first place) is to cover the bald spot or pluck their throat sac and paint it yellow. without the right pheromones, it’s still easy for others to 'tell’ though, which is why he’s nervous. Zoe is there as the emotional support lesbian.
Also here’s a transcript, because my handwriting sucks ass and I decided to write some things phonetically since Obin has trouble pronouncing T, D, and G and also tend to combine words with those sounds with the next word (wi’the nehx’wer )
O- damn, this stings.
Z- damn, it’s almost like you’re pulling them out.
O- ha. ha. … ok, how does it look?
Z- yeeaahhhhhhh, very bald! Just needs some yellow.
O- …
Z- very manly ! Very.. Kar-ly? It looks good! What?
O- I’m serious. Do you think the guys at work will say anything? I’ve.. never been around other Prectikar during the season…
Like, there’s no way they can’t tell. And U’lng is a trad, I’ve seen him praying, and they’ve already seen my piercing,, and I already feel like they think I’m a freak-
Z- Hey
it’s who you are. You know it is. No matter what. They’re just going to have to deal with it.
O- Right. Yeah. Deal with it. ..
Z- so we’re good? I can get the paint if you want.
O- Yeahhhhh
god why does this have to be so hard.
Z- they’re nice guys, dude. You’ll be fine.
Z- and if not I can hit them with an energy blast.

♕ No Matter What - Part 6 | Lena Luthor ♕
Tumblr media
Pairing: Lena Luthor x reader
Warnings: none
Summary: It seems as though you’re not the only one who’d like to leave the past in the past.
Previous Part | Next Part | Masterlist
________________________________________________
“Here you go, Jess,” I say, setting a cup on her table.
She looks up with a rare smile and takes it. “Thank you, Y/N.”
I nod in acknowledgment and take a sip of my own coffee. “So, what’s the boss up to?” I ask.
Jess checks her laptop. “Uh… I’m not so sure. She doesn’t have a meeting until 3, so I don’t know what she’s doing right now. I heard her on the phone while you were on your coffee run though.”
“So you think I can go in?” I gesture in the direction of Lena’s door.
Jess shrugs.
I take that as a yes and knock on the shiny white door before entering after a beat of silence.
“Ms. Luthor?” I frown. She’s not at her desk or on her couch. I step further into the office and look around the corner but she’s not at her bar either. “Ms. Lu—“
My words die in my throat when I see her hunched over on the balcony outside, her back turned to me. I quickly set my cup on her desk and go outside.
“Ms. Luthor?” I ask tentatively, a cool breeze hitting my face.
She stiffens for a second before turning around and that’s when I see it. The running mascara, her bloodshot eyes, and the dejected look on her face.
My stomach drops and I take a step forward. “What’s wrong? Are you alright? Are you hurt?”
Lena just shakes her head, biting her lip to prevent a sob from escaping.
I take another step forward and tentatively reach for her. “What is it? Talk to me.”
Lena’s chin wobbles and more tears spring to her eyes, making my concern grow. She parts her lips to say something, but only a whimper escapes.
She rushes forward in the blink of an eye and throws her arms around my shoulders, burying her face in the crook of my neck.
Stunned, I hesitated to return the embrace, but then her body shakes with a sob and I can’t help but pull her closer.
“Hey, hey, hey…” I whisper against her temple. “It’s going to be alright. Whatever it is, it’ll be fine. I’m here. I’m right here.”
Lena claws at my clothes and breathes shakily. Her tears seep into the collar of my shirt, but I don’t mind. I just hold her close and let her feel what she’s feeling.
“My brother…” she whispers against my skin, her voice breaking with emotion. “He–“ I hold my breath in anticipation–“He escaped from prison.”
Well, shit.
“How?” I ask, trying to wrap my head around this new information.
Lena shrugs and lets out a strangled breath. “I don’t know, but he just called and– “ anther sob shakes her body and her grip on me tightens– “he said see you soon, sis before hanging up.”
An unmeasurable amount of anger floods through me and I grind my teeth to stop myself from storming off and dealing with that bald, good-for-nothing son of a bitch myself. Lena’s been through enough and now, thinking she was finally free of him, he comes crashing back into her life to do God knows what.
“I’m scared, Y/N,” Lena whimpers against my neck and it stokes my anger even more.
She’s one of the most amazing people I know. She’s smart, funny, and kind, and she doesn’t deserve all this shit life is giving her.
“Ms. Luthor.” I pause. The last thing she needs right now is a reminder that she’s a Luthor. So, I try something I haven’t done before. “Lena,” I say hesitantly, running my hands over her back.
Her breath hitches but nothing else happens, so I continue. “Lena, listen to me. I swear that as long as I’m around, your brother will not get anywhere near you. You hear me? I won’t let that happen. As long as I’m around, you’re safe. I promise. ”
Lena pulls back to meet my eyes while her arms stay wrapped around my shoulders. “You promise?” She sniffles and searches my face for any trace of a lie.
“No matter what,” I say, surprising myself in the process. I’ve never said that to anyone except Sam and maybe Ruby once or twice.
Lena’s green eyes flicker back and forth between mine before dropping to my lips for a split second. It’s so quick, I almost think I imagined it, but then she does it again.
My stomach flips at the action and I can’t help but mirror it. Lena seems to notice because curiosity and some hesitation flits across her face. Her eyebrows furrow ever so slightly, but in the end she doesn’t act on her impulse.
Instead she exhales and closes her eyes, letting her forehead rest against my collarbone. “Thank you…”
I rub her back again and only pull back when she loosens her grip on me. She smiles sadly and I mirror it, using my thumb to wipe away the rest of her tears.
“Okay?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
She nods and runs her hands over her blouse to smooth it down. “Okay.”
After Lena’s breakdown I stayed in her office with her while she worked. Not only to keep her company but also to keep an eye on her and make sure she’s fine.
Sam stopped by a couple of times to ask Lena something about a business deal and gave me a knowing look every time she left.
Now I’m just getting out of the shower after a late night gym session. The whole time I was there, going to town on the punching bag, I pictured Lex’s face in front of me. That smug, ghoulish, punch able face. I will keep my promise to Lena. He will not touch even a single hair on her head.
I dry myself off and put on some sweatpants and a hoodie, going to the kitchen to make myself a protein shake. It’s the middle of the night and I already had dinner, but after the workout I just put myself through I’m starving.
I drink it in a couple of big gulps and place the empty bottle in the dishwasher before going to bed. I know I won’t be getting much sleep because my mind is working overtime right now, but I have to at least try to get some shut eye.
I turn off all the lights and shut the open window, slipping under the covers of my bed with a sigh.
How did Lex manage to escape from prison? I thought something like that was only possible in books or movies. Well, looks like I thought wrong.
I go over the extra security measures we put in place for Lena, ranging from several more cameras around her buildings to extra guards stationed outside her apartment building.
The chances of anyone getting past all of that are basically zero. But then again, the chances of escaping from prison nowadays are also basically zero and Lex Luthor has managed to do exactly that.
I toss and turn as sleep continues to elude me, until my phone lights up on the nightstand. I sit up and grab it, not knowing what to expect.
It’s Lena.
My eyes widen and I quickly accept the call.
Did something happen? Is she hurt? Is it Lex? Did he manage to get to her?
“Lena, are you alright?” I blurt out, foregoing any pleasantries.
“I— Yeah, I’m alright…” The reply is quiet and soft. I exhale, relieved, and sit up so I can lean back against the headboard.
“Then what is it?” I ask gently.
There’s a pause at the other end of the line and I take my phone away from my ear to make sure the call hasn’t disconnected.
“I can’t sleep,” Lena admits with a sniffle. “And I’m scared, Y/N. I’m so scared.”
The thought of her being alone in her dark apartment, scared and crying has me getting out of bed immediately. I turn on the light and put Lena on speaker while I grab an empty duffel bag from under the bed.
“I know, I know. Just hang on. ” I shove a change of clothes and some toiletries into the bag. “I’m on my way.”
“W-What? No, you don’t have to do that, Y/N.” Lena tries to reason, but I’m not having it.
I shake my head even though she can’t see me and zip up the bag. I sling it over my shoulder and slip on my shoes by the door, leaving the apartment to hail down a cab outside “Nonsense. I told you I’d be there whenever you need me.”
“I…Okay.” Lena gives in with another sniffle. “Thank you.”
“Of course,” I say. “Now, do you want to stay on the phone with me, or is it okay if I hang up?”
“No, no, it’s alright,” Lena denies and I assure her once more that I’ll be there in no time before hanging up to tell the cab driver where to go.
When I get to the apartment building the security guard by the door nods in acknowledgment and lets me inside without a word.
I ride the elevator up to the top floor and get out, using my keycard to open the door to the familiar apartment.
“Lena?” I call out into the dark. “Where are you?”
A lamp turns on to my right and if it weren’t for my concern I’d have been startled.
Lena’s sitting on the couch with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. Her face is makeup-free and she’s wearing a matching set of blue striped pajamas.
“Hey,” I say softly, taking off my shoes before crossing the room.
Lena’s vulnerable and bloodshot eyes meet mine and she mumbles a tired, “Hi.”
My insides melt and I stop in front of the couch with open arms. Lena gets up immediately and sinks into my embrace. I sigh and rest my chin on the top of her head.
“Thank you for coming,” she says again my chest.
I squeeze her in my arms and guide the two of us to sit down on the couch without breaking the hug. “Always. Now, how about we watch a movie?” I ask.
Lena wiggles around and shifts her blanket so it’s covering both our legs before settling back into my side. “Yes, please. Can we watch Titanic?”
I chuckle and grab the remote, turning on the TV to find the movie. “Sure.”
Once I’ve found it and hit play, I settle back into the couch and start drawing shapes onto Lena’s back. She seems to like it because she lets out a content sigh and rests her head on my shoulder.
We watch the movie in silence for quite some time before I look down to see how Lena’s doing. That’s when I notice that her eyes are closed and her breathing has shallowed. She’s asleep.
A small smile makes its way onto my face and I turn down the TV’s volume to make sure she doesn’t wake up. Then, my mind finally at peace now that Lena is okay, I close my own eyes and let sleep overcome me.
The sound of my phone buzzing wakes me up. I blink repeatedly and go to sit up to take it from the coffee table but then I remember where I am and who’s soundly asleep on my chest.
Her dark hair is everywhere, some stands of it are even on my face which I gently brush away as I stretch to get my phone without getting up.
Harper.
I freeze. We haven’t spoken since my dad kicked me out.
What could she possibly want now? Blame me some more for her fiancé’s death? My baby brother’s death?
I send the call to voicemail and put my phone back down with a growing lump in the back of my throat.
Stop, this is not the time to cry.
I take a shuddering breath and squeeze my eyes shut. My hand instinctively reaches up to stroke Lena’s back and I do my best to push my emotions down.
It doesn’t work as well as I hoped it would though because a few moments later, Lena stirs. She takes a deep breath and opens her eyes, adjusting to the brightness for a moment. Then, in no hurry to get away from me, she places her hand on my chest and lifts her head.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” she asks quietly when she notices my watery eyes and my shaky breathing.
I quickly use the hand that’s not on her back to wipe at my eyes. I clear my throat and smile as best as I can as I lie and say, “Nothing, sorry. Just a bad dream.”
Lena furrows her eyebrows, obviously not believing what I just said. Her eyes dart between mine as if she’s trying to find an honest explanation in them, but it seems she comes up short because she sighs and averts her gaze.
She sits up, much to my dismay, and runs her hand through her. “What time is it? We have to be at the office at ten. I have an interview schedule with Kara about my brother’s untimely prison break.”
She seems exhausted if the bitterness in her voice is anything to go by. I know it’s not because of Kara though. She’s honestly one of the sweetest people I know, and she’s an even better reporter.
I check my phone for the time, only for it to start buzzing again right as I pick it up. This time no one’s calling though. It’s a reminder I set after my meltdown at Sam’s.
All it says is Noah with a flower bouquet emoji next to it because I want to put flowers on his grave the day before the actual anniversary of his death, so I don’t run the chance of crossing paths with my parents or Harper.
I hastily try to swipe it away because I don’t want Lena to see, but when I look up her eyes are glued to my phone. Then, they snap up to meet my own and the hurt in her eyes makes my insides twist.
“Who’s Noah?” she asks and the fact that she pulls away completely and stands up with betrayal written all over her face tells me that she’s completely misreading this situation.
Shit. This is exactly what I didn’t want to happen.
